You don't have to go back through it to get free of it. There's a gentler way. And it works.

Most people who come to a MAP Method™ session have already tried talking about what’s been bothering them. Sometimes that’s helped. But something is still there — under the surface, running quietly in the background, showing up in ways they can’t quite control.

MAP Method™ (Make Anything Possible) works differently. It identifies and releases the subconscious emotional patterns driving your experience — without requiring you to retell your story, relive difficult memories, or analyse why you feel the way you do.

You stay calm and conscious throughout. Your mind does the work — gently, at its own pace — and the emotional charge simply clears.

I’m Caroline Connor, a certified MAP Method™ practitioner based in Moorabbin, Melbourne. I work with clients in person and online across Australia and internationally.

What might bring someone to a MAP Method™ session?

You might recognise yourself in some of this:

What You’ll Gain:

What MAP Can Help You Decrease:

After a MAP session, most clients describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more settled — often from the very first session. The emotional charge that was there simply isn’t anymore.

MAP Method

What is the MAP Method™?

MAP Method™ was developed by Colette Streicher, a licensed professional counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist. It draws on principles from neuroscience, somatic therapy, and subconscious healing to create a process that is both gentle and remarkably effective.

At its core, MAP works with what are called subconscious memory clusters — groups of memories, emotions, and beliefs that have become linked together in the subconscious mind, often formed during times of stress, overwhelm, or emotional pain.

These clusters drive our automatic responses — the anxiety that flares in certain situations, the reactions we have before we’ve had time to think, the patterns we keep repeating despite consciously wanting to change them.

In a MAP session, your subconscious mind is guided to identify and process these clusters. The emotional charge attached to them releases — not through analysis or retelling, but through a natural process of internal clearing. Most people describe it as feeling like something has been gently untangled.

You don’t need to talk through your history. You don’t need to understand why things affected you. You just need to show up — the rest happens naturally.

What is the MAP Method?

MAP works by identifying and reprogramming subconscious memory clusters (often formed during trauma or emotional overwhelm) while you remain calm and conscious. Your brain clears the emotional charge—kind of like mental cleanup—without needing to “go back there.”
It’s neuroscience meets intuition, and it’s profoundly effective.

Who is MAP Method™ for?

MAP works for a wide range of people. You don’t need a diagnosis, a history of trauma, or even a clear understanding of why you feel the way you do. You just need to be ready for something to shift.

It tends to work particularly well for:

Expect in a MAP Session

What to expect in a MAP Method™ session

We start with what’s present

We begin with a brief conversation about what you’d like to work on — what you’re feeling, what’s been bothering you, or what pattern you’d like to shift. You don’t need to have it perfectly articulated. Often clients simply say ‘I’ve been feeling anxious’ or ‘something happened and I can’t shake it’ and we go from there.

Your subconscious does the work

I’ll guide you into a relaxed, receptive state and then facilitate the MAP process. This involves gentle prompts and questions directed at your subconscious rather than your conscious mind. You don’t need to analyse, explain, or relive anything. Your system responds at its own pace and in its own way.

Many clients find this part surprisingly peaceful — quite different from what they expected. Some notice images, sensations, or memories arising and passing. Others simply feel a gradual settling and release.

Something shifts

Most clients notice a change during the session itself — a sense of lightness, calm, or release where there was previously tension or heaviness. That shift continues to integrate over the days that follow.

Some changes are immediate and obvious. Others are more gradual — clients notice a week or two later that they responded differently to something that used to trigger them, or that a pattern they’d been stuck in has simply stopped.

Sessions are 60–90 minutes. You don’t need to prepare anything. Just come as you are.

Why work with Caroline?

I’m a certified MAP Method™ practitioner with 12 years of professional practice and 30 years of personal healing experience. MAP is one of the methods I came to through my own journey — and one I continue to use because I’ve seen what it can do, in my own life and in my clients’ lives.

I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. I blend MAP Method™ with other subconscious tools — including PSYCH-K®, EFT Tapping, and Hypnotherapy — always following what your system actually needs in the session rather than following a fixed formula. Some people need one session. Others find a series creates the deepest and most lasting shift.

My sessions are warm, unhurried, and completely tailored to you. You will never be pushed into territory you’re not ready for. And you will never need to explain yourself more than you’re comfortable with.

Let’s help your nervous system exhale.

What clients say about MAP Method™ with Caroline

Frequently asked questions about MAP Method™

MAP Method™ is grounded in principles from neuroscience, somatic therapy, and subconscious healing — all of which have substantial research support. While MAP itself as a named modality is relatively new and doesn't yet have large-scale clinical trials, the underlying mechanisms — including the role of subconscious memory in behaviour and the capacity of the brain to release emotional charge through guided processes — are well-established. Many clients experience results quickly and notice lasting change.

Both work with the subconscious mind, but the process is different. Hypnotherapy guides you into a trance-like relaxed state and uses suggestion and imagery to support change. MAP Method™ works through a more conversational, guided process where your subconscious identifies and releases emotional clusters at its own pace. Both are gentle and effective — Caroline will recommend the best fit based on what you're working with.

No — and this is one of the most significant differences between MAP and conventional therapy. You don't need to tell your story, explain your history, or revisit painful experiences in detail. MAP works with the subconscious directly, which means the process happens below the level of narrative. Many clients find this a huge relief, particularly those who have talked extensively in therapy without finding lasting relief.

This varies. Some people experience significant shifts in a single session, particularly for a specific issue or pattern. Others find a series of sessions creates deeper and more lasting change across multiple areas. Caroline will give you an honest assessment after your first session based on what comes up.
